Crappy Barbers, Shaved Heads and Seminars

Well, let's see. Over the past two days I've shaved most of my hair off, gone to a seminar on 'How to deal with Problem Customers' and gone to the new Walmart in Woodland park that had it's grand opening yesterday.

Shaved my hair off??? Yeah. I got sick and tired of getting shitty haircuts from 'franchise stylists'. Got pissed at the crappy haircut that I was given and refused to pay for it, so I went out and bought a pair of hair clippers. When I got home, I Gave myself a #4 clip over my entire head. Think I'll just do that from now on instead of paying out $15 for a crappy job.

Wednesday morning, I was up at six a.m. - which is an hour and a half after I usually go to bed - to attend a seminar in Colorado Springs. It was a whole day affair on how to handle those idiots we really don't want to deal with in life, but for some stupid reason (usually our choice) we need to. All in all it was a good seminar, and gave some insight on how to deal with differing personality types, and difusing situations. If anyone out there deals with customers and/or children on a daily basis, you might be interested in something like this.

Afterwards, I went to my parents' house. Sat down and BS'd with them for a while then headed for home, stopping in Woodland Park and the grand opening of the new Walmart. It's laid out weird though. Still looks like the inside of any Walmart I've ever been in, but the City council made them make it look upscale from the outside. Mostly to fit it with the snobbish plan they have for trying to make Woodland Park the next Breckenridge. It sucks too as they are trying to appease the 'wealthy residents' that decided to save money and move here from Californicator.

Why is it when people move away from a situation they don't like - i.e. California and the gangs, etc. - they have to try and make the areas they move into just like the ones they left. They move into the mountains after living in a city most of thier lives and freak out because a bear is on thier porch. They want ordinances passed to outlaw the bears. Sorry to say, but the bears don't read. They do pretty much what they want and don't care if they've inconvenienced some idiot that doesn't know any better.

You moved into their territory, they were there first and they'll be there long after you've gone away. Do something stupid and you'll wind up as lunch for them. Get rid of them and the hunters you hate so much will have to shoot that many more deer and elk to keep those populations under control. But since one bear scared you when you came home after work, you want to outlaw bears inside city limits. Stupid.

Oh well, that's enough ranting for now.

You've got to be kidding me?!?

OK, hold onto your hats for this one (or whatever if you're not wearing a hat).

A Nebraska State senator is suing God???

According to the article which can be found here:http://www.ketv.com/news/14133442/detail.html,
he's doing so to prove a point about frivolous lawsuits. Yeah right, poor schmuck probably hasn't gotten enough attention lately and came up with this idea to prove what a moron he is. The very idea is ridiculous if not downright stupid.

Someone help out this guy and get him laid or something.

Update on the puppies

Well, the pups my dog Star had are now five days old - having been born on the 12th - and growing at such a fast pace. As I said before, three of them are Yellow Lab and three are Black Lab pups. I got a chance to check them over in the past few days and there are two females and one male of each color.

Star has been a great dog with her pups so far. She still wants to take off and run the neighborhood if I don't chain her up, but she at least she comes back after a short while so she can take care of them.

I have a few people that have made comments about possibly wanting one of them, so hopefully they won't be difficult to get rid of when they're old enough. I'm sure they'll make great pets for the people that do take them. The parents have great dispositions and that should pass along to the pups.

Terror threats against schools

A Florida news station reported this morning that nine schools had received post cards with a hand written cartoon showing a building exploding with people inside and the words "Jihad - Boom" written underneath. The full article can be seen here: http://www.local6.com/news/14129427/detail.html

I've been reading about this for weeks on different threat assessment websites so it's interesting to say the least that it's beginning to come to pass. In the article, they show one of the post cards. At the top of the post card it shows two dates written out as "9-11 ? 10-10". My guess is that supposedly 10-10 would be the next date in the Jihadist's playbook? Or whoever wrote that post card wants us to think that anyway.

People that would attack children and schools are sick bastards that should be shot on sight and not even given a chance for a trial as far as I'm concerned. I know I say at the top of my blog page that I don't advocate vigilantiism, but I think I would have to make an exception if this comes about. Anyone that would harm or kill children for their own political/social/religious ideals is an immoral bastard that isn't needed anymore on this planet. Put them to some good use like feeding worms and trees.
