The Rockies put on one hell of a game today and wind up winning game one!!!

I'm typing this while listening to the Rockies play in Philly on my computer. I haven't had Satellite or Cable TV for years, so I was glad to find the game audio being broadcast on MLB.com.

So far the game has only had any excitement in the top of the second Inning. Helton lead off the inning with a stand up triple, followed by Atkins with a double that scored Helton for the first run of the game. Tulowitzski was walked for two on, then the next batter was walked as well. With the bases loaded, Matsui hit a single to drive in the second run, then The next batter was walked to walk in the third.

Now in the bottom of the 5th, Rowand and Burrell hit back to back home runs to bring the Phillies within one run of tying the Rockies. Francis finally retired the side with no more scores, and runs stranded on second and third. Now we need to score a few more runs and or keep the Phillies from scoring for the next three innings.

We're going into the top of the eighth, with no runs scored by either team in a while. First up to bat will be Tulowitzski who strikes out, bringing up Holliday who Drives a Homer into Left center to make the score 4-2 Rockies! Way to go! And that brings up another pitching change for the Phillies. Todd Helton up to bat, and flys out. Garrett drives deep to left center and it's caught, retiring the side, but we got a homer out of it.

Bottom of the eighth, and the Rockies bring out Fuentes to pitch. Allows two batters on, but gets two outs out of the deal, keeping the Phillies to first base. And Strikes out the last batter to keep the Phillies scoreless in the eighth. Keep it up guys, take the first game of the playoffs.

Top of the Ninth, First two batters for the Rockies struck out, then Torialba gets on first, and Fuentes comes in to drive to centerfield, moving Torialba to second and Fuentes on first. Matsui comes up to bat and gets the full count but strikes out leaving two stranded.

Ok now, keep the Phillies from scoring and we've got the win for game one of the playoffs!! I have faith in you guys.

Bottom of the ninth, Rockies change pitchers yet again to Corpus. Striking out the first batter, but Rowand is up to bat now, he had a homer in the fifth inning. Bounces it to Matsui who tosses it to Helton and Rowand is out. This brings up Burrell who also drove a homer in the bottom of the fifth. And flys out to center!! The Rockies win game one!!!!!! Way to go!!!!
