Crappy Barbers, Shaved Heads and Seminars

Well, let's see. Over the past two days I've shaved most of my hair off, gone to a seminar on 'How to deal with Problem Customers' and gone to the new Walmart in Woodland park that had it's grand opening yesterday.

Shaved my hair off??? Yeah. I got sick and tired of getting shitty haircuts from 'franchise stylists'. Got pissed at the crappy haircut that I was given and refused to pay for it, so I went out and bought a pair of hair clippers. When I got home, I Gave myself a #4 clip over my entire head. Think I'll just do that from now on instead of paying out $15 for a crappy job.

Wednesday morning, I was up at six a.m. - which is an hour and a half after I usually go to bed - to attend a seminar in Colorado Springs. It was a whole day affair on how to handle those idiots we really don't want to deal with in life, but for some stupid reason (usually our choice) we need to. All in all it was a good seminar, and gave some insight on how to deal with differing personality types, and difusing situations. If anyone out there deals with customers and/or children on a daily basis, you might be interested in something like this.

Afterwards, I went to my parents' house. Sat down and BS'd with them for a while then headed for home, stopping in Woodland Park and the grand opening of the new Walmart. It's laid out weird though. Still looks like the inside of any Walmart I've ever been in, but the City council made them make it look upscale from the outside. Mostly to fit it with the snobbish plan they have for trying to make Woodland Park the next Breckenridge. It sucks too as they are trying to appease the 'wealthy residents' that decided to save money and move here from Californicator.

Why is it when people move away from a situation they don't like - i.e. California and the gangs, etc. - they have to try and make the areas they move into just like the ones they left. They move into the mountains after living in a city most of thier lives and freak out because a bear is on thier porch. They want ordinances passed to outlaw the bears. Sorry to say, but the bears don't read. They do pretty much what they want and don't care if they've inconvenienced some idiot that doesn't know any better.

You moved into their territory, they were there first and they'll be there long after you've gone away. Do something stupid and you'll wind up as lunch for them. Get rid of them and the hunters you hate so much will have to shoot that many more deer and elk to keep those populations under control. But since one bear scared you when you came home after work, you want to outlaw bears inside city limits. Stupid.

Oh well, that's enough ranting for now.
